F.I.R.E. OCP Rome program 2023

July 10, 2023. We're going into the fourth week of the Rome F.I.R.E., program, and things are heating up (literally and metaphorically)! A sample of our program activities so far: a visit to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, a gastronomical tour, a cooking intensive, open-air classes with special guest lecturers on the Jewish Ghetto and Made in Italy/Made in Rome, winetasting, conversations with film directors on the state of Italy today, and a workshop with a sociologist on intercultural learning! And in their classes, students are learning Italian and about Italian culture at breakneck speed! Sneak preview of what's to come: a week of service and learning in Puglia with the anti-mafia NGO Libera, a trip to Firenze, and more exciting visits in and around Rome.
