Star NYT food journalist and D '13 Priya Krishna pays tribute to Prof. Faith Beasley's mentoring on The Splendid Table podcast

Priya Krishna '13, a well-known food journalist at the New York Times and the author of several cookbooks—the most recent of which is Kitchen Adventures and Snacking Bakes (2024)pays tribute to French Professor Faith Beasley in a podcast. After Ms. Krishna got her first food-writing gig—a column in The Dartmouth about designing your own dining hall meal—she felt empowered that a student could already be an authority on food. Her first cookbook, which she published just after she graduated, was called Ultimate Dining Hall Hacks. It showed students how they could transform ingredients from their dining hall into Thai-inspired peanut chicken wraps or a banana crumble.
