George E. Diller Memorial Prize

The George E. Diller Memorial Prize was created in memory of a distinguished teacher of French at Dartmouth, whose love of French life and culture was transmitted to generations of Dartmouth students.

George Diller

George Diller came to Dartmouth in 1936 as an instructor and moved through the ranks to full professor, staying until his retirement in 1966.  In 1966-67 he coordinated the French Foreign Study and Language Study Programs in France.  We wish to recognize with this prize an outstanding student planning to pursue further studies in French civilization.
